Dr. Celal METİN

Chairman

MET Group of Companies is led by Dr. Celal Metin, who has extensive experience manufacturing, marketing, finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and IPO's, in diverse industries including chemicals and petrochemicals, financial services, information technology and communications and natural resources.

He served as the CEO and a Director of Sabanci Holding, a diversified global group with more than US$5 billion in annual revenues, until March 2005. Prior to that he founded and ran major business groups, including publicly listed and privately held companies with operations in Europe, North America and Asia.

Dr. Metin's hallmarks are his boundless energy and creative intellect. He has the rare ability to create new businesses, and to transform and inspire organizations. He is a truly global executive and a proven catalyst for success.

Dr. Metin holds Ph.D., MS and BS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Istanbul, Faculty of Engineering.

 

Kerem METİN

Vice Chairman, Investments and Operations

Kerem Metin’s background as the CEO of the Group's Information and Communications Technology companies for years has given him strong experience in managing new technologies. Kerem started his career in Dupont International in the US.

Mr. Metin holds a BS degree from Faculty of Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University.

 

İrem KINAY

Vice Chairman, Finance

Irem Kinay is an ex-investment banker with more than 10 years of finance experience. She has strong M&A, corporate finance and advisory background having worked at Morgan Stanley in New York and Deutsche Bank in London.

Ms. Kınay holds a BS degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Ömür Filiz

Chief Financial Officer

Ömür Filiz is the Chief Financial Officer managing the financial activies and planning the resource allocation at the holding level of the company being also a part of the business development of the projects in the financial angles. Prior to joining Met Group, Mr. Filiz had important executive roles in  the reputational Private Equity and Asset Management companies in the industry. Mr.Filiz holds a BA degree in Economics from Faculty of Business Administration and Economics Department of Boğaziçi University.

 

Levent ÇELEPÇİ

Chief Legal Officer

Levent Celepçi leads the corporate and commercial law department for Met Group. Mr. Çelepçi has vast experience in M&A, project and corporate finance transactions. He has structured and advised on numerous private equity deals, as well as having participated in privatization tenders, negotiation of share purchase agreements and corporate law issues, particularly in the field of energy.

 

Özay TÜLEK

Özay Tülek is the Project Manager – O&M of Metcap Energy Investments. Mr. Tülek started his career at Baymina Enerji A.Ş. (GDF SUEZ) as shift leader from the commissioning phase of the plant. Having experienced a complete cycle of a CCPP starting from commissioning until end of 1st Major Overhaul, he took the responsibility of plant taking over at Shuweihat 2 IWPP in Abu Dhabi again starting from commissioning phase as Maintenance Manager. Mr. Tülek has experience in both project development and O&M of large scale CCPPs

Mr. Tülek received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU).

 

Sevi GÜLTEŞ

Sevi Gülteş is the Renewables Manager of Metcap Energy Investments, responsible for evaluating potential renewable energy investments in terms of technical aspects, carrying out the project development and implementation phase of group projects and performing statistical analysis of wind and solar data evaluations.

Ms. Gülteş received a BA in Chemical Engineering from Yeditepe University and a MSc degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Bogazici University.

 

Sabri GÜNDOĞAN

Sabri Gündoğan is the Project Financing Manager of Metcap Energy Invetsments, responsible for building financial models/structures for the projects and coordinating the relations with the financing parties. Prior to joining Met Group, Mr. Gündoğan was a Project Finance Supervisor at Finansbank, where he focused on the evaluation of energy projects and building the energy based financing structures.

Mr. Gündoğan received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University.

 

Ayşin YÖRÜK

Ayşin Yörük is the Budgeting & Accounting Manager of Metcap Energy Investments. Prior to joining Met Group, Ms. Yörük was a financial controller at Capital Partners where she focused on budgeting and financial planning. Ms. Yörük started her career as a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton International Audit Company

Ms. Yoruk received a BA in Business Administration from Istanbul University. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Yıldıray CEZOOĞLU

Yıldıray Cezooğlu is the Cost & Scheduling Manager of Metcap Energy Investments. Prior to joining Met Group, Mr. Cezooğlu had a civil engineering role at Bureau Veritas Turkey , where he focused especially on contracts, scheduling, cost control and monthly progress reporting. Prior to Bureau Veritas Turkey, Mr. Cezooğlu worked as technical office engineer at A&D İnşaat and SARL Kayı.

Mr. Cezooğlu received BSc in Civil Engineering from İstanbul Technical University (İTU).

 

Daniel Alp RİZO

Daniel Alp Rizo is the Project Analyst of Metcap Energy Investments, responsible for researching activities to cover the market and project dynamics, preparing project documentation, coordinating the collection of all corporate agreements and helping in due diligence studies and preparing and/or updating the sector/project presentations.

Mr. Rizo received a BA in Management, Economics and Finance from Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Italy.
